Canadian Conference on Medical Education

An invitation to present an Associated Symposium at the largest medical education conference in Canada

Five of Canada’s premier healthcare organizations: The Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada, the Canadian Association for Medical Education, The College of Family Physicians of Canada, the Medical Council of Canada and The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, are proud to host the 2012 Canadian Conference on Medical Education (CCME 2012) which will take place in Banff, Alberta, April 14-18, 2012.

Associated symposia are opportunities for not-for-profit organizations to provide educational sessions to attendees of CCME 2012 through in-depth and multidisciplinary presentations and discussions on specific research or educational topic of relevance to medical education which are not covered in the CCME Scientific Program.

We anticipate great demand for the limited slots we have available this year (limit of 5)

Note that the application deadline is March 1, 2012.

The purpose of the CCME is to highlight, and allow participants to benefit from, developments in medical education and to promote academic medicine by establishing an annual forum for medical educators and their many partners to meet and exchange ideas. CCME 2012 will take place at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and will include a highly selective program of workshops, posters, oral presentations and plenary sessions with its theme being “Global Health and Medical Education: Beyond Boundaries”. CCME 2012 also offers great opportunities for exhibitors and sponsors to participate and directly interact with delegates from medical faculties as well as national and international health organizations. CCME 2012 will attract more than 1,000 influential leaders in medical education, health policy and medical practice from Canada and around the world.
